Unable to listen to another bad male singer on American Idol, I was flicking around and stumbled on “Freddie” (Wed, 8:30, ABC).

This surprisingly cute relationship-y show has been quietly running for 14 episodes. It’s charming and fun — in short, everything “Joey” should have been.

Charismatic Freddie Prince Junior is surrounded by hotties including Madchen Amick (“Twin Peaks”, and a short recurring role on “Joey”). 90210-er Brian Austin Green is the frat-boy friend.

Funny, light, and refreshing — I’m making a bold prediction that this quiet little sitcom is the next “Friends”. You heard it here first.

“Baldwin, an Oscar and four-time Emmy nominee, is in the final stages of negotiations to join [Tina] Fey in the untitled pilot, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The project is a comedy that goes behind the scenes of a sketch-comedy show not unlike “SNL.”

“Should the show make it onto NBC’s schedule, it would be Baldwin’s first series-regular role since he played Joshua Rush on “Knots Landing” in the mid-1980s.”

The first foreign-language version of The Office has been made in French as Le Bureau.

“Ricky Gervais’ award-winning show will move from Slough to Villepinte – a well-known business park north of Paris.

Gervais office-manager character is renamed Gilles Triquet and will be played by well-known French face Francois Berleand. As in the original, the rest of the cast are unknowns.

Gervais and Stephen Merchant’s original script has been translated for the remake.”

George Clooney planning “Ocean’s Eleven” TV series

George Clooney is planning to make a television series based on the Ocean’s Eleven franchise.

The actor-director, who plays Danny Ocean in the films, is currently working on Ocean’s Thirteen.

“It’s a basic idea that would make a great 13-episode TV show,” he told Hollywood.com. “I don’t plan to appear though, but I will be the show’s producer.”
